CONTEMPLATIONS :: Guenther Rabl :: Experimental Approach

The pragmatic approach seeks tools (operations, programs) that bring about a very specific, predetermined change which never leaves the formal level of the “finished product,” the system-immanent “musical aspect”. Conversely, the experimental approach studies the fundamental tools, studies their possibility of change, of destruction, and makes them subservient. The experimental approach, and only the experimental approach, is the actually artistic one.
