Well, this door handle is ‘beautiful’. It shines goldenly, it displays beautifully curved lines, etc.
But my eye is indeed sharper: It sees how I scrape my skin on its edges; it sees how I rip my sleeves on its protuberances; it sees which miserable sound is created by opening and closing. In a word: It sees how ugly it is.
